My Work
I am a bean counter (an accountant) by day, and I am passionate about helping people regain their health using holistic nutrition. I thought writing children's books was for someone else.
That all changed when my husband and I adopted a three-legged kitty Lapa from my home country Ukraine.
Authorship of "Will Three-Legged Lapa Find Her Home? A True Story" started as a conversation with a fellow pet owner in the waiting room of a vet clinic, where I brought Lapa shortly after she arrived from Ukraine. After I told this lady Lapa's story, she immediately suggested that it would make a great children's book! This idea gave me an amazing opportunity to teach little kids love, compassion and determination.
But all that would not be possible without my Niece Vika...
Meet Vika & Lapa
Vika Belotcercovskaya is my exceptional Niece who lives in Ukraine and genuinely loves all animals, even flies!
Every day, no matter where she is, she supports homeless cats and dogs with food, shelter, and veterinary help. She carries kibble in her purse! Also, she helps four-legged friends find their furr-ever homes.
Vika was the one who helped little Lapa when she was in distress and gave me that life-changing call. The rest of the story you can find in my book.
